About ipconsult
ipconsult is a private practice whose aim is to
assist clients commercialise their IP profitably.
ipconsult operates as a hub, where files are held and managed at a
central office and experienced Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys are
engaged to handle their specialist subject matter and work remotely at
times to suit them. |

Charlie Ashworth
Charlie graduated in Industrial Design and Manufacture and spent 4
years at 'PDD' where she worked on commercialisation of consumer products.
Since 2005 she has been training to become a Patent Attorney whilst
working at Trevor Baylis brands PLC. She is a co-author to 'The Dummies
Guide to Intellectual Property'. Mark Baldwin
Mark has a degree in mechanical engineering. He qualified as a patent
attorney in 1997 whilst working for RGC Jenkins & Co where he later became
a partner. Before university he worked in the automobile industry and in
building scientific instruments. As a Patent Attorney he has worked for
Molins PLC, where he gained experience working with high speed packaging
machinery. David Edwards
David has 13 years experience in the patent profession initially in
private practice where he filed and prosecuted patents mainly in the
mechanical field. For the last four years, David has had a more commercial
role advising on corporate ‘M&A’ type activity negotiating and drafting IP
agreements, mainly in licensing and collaborations.
Elisabeth Farrer
Elisabeth graduated in Business Studies at University Fumec (Brazil) and
is responsible for accounts and renewals. Jeremy
Goddin
Jeremy has over 40 years experience in private practice and industry and
extensive knowledge of technical and commercial contracts, including:
acquisitions, disposals in a variety of local, government, public and
private sector contracts. He has IP legal experience at high levels in the
USA, Japan and Europe. Jeremy is also a Registered Trade Mark Agent and
European Trade Mark Attorney. Greg Gregory
Greg has 25 years experience in the patent profession and has managed
large and small departments within industry, private practice as well as
working for a US law firm. He planned and managed the transfer of several
large IP portfolios including the transfer of a patent portfolio of around
1700 cases. He specialises in setting up, and running IP management
systems and training staff. Laura Lichfield
Laura is a qualified UK and European Patent Attorney with over 15 years
experience. She worked at Motorola as well and in private practice. Laura
has expertise in the fields of electrical, electronic, software and
mechanical technologies, specialising in telecommunications and video
processing. Rebecca Mack
Graduated in Zoology and worked for six years at HSBC bank. As Office
Manger she is responsible for day-to-day running of ipconsult, record
keeping and marketing. Alistair McManus
Has a law degree and a Masters Degree in IP law. He has worked at Eric
Robinson Solicitors for nearly five years and is now training to become a
Trade Mark Attorney. Alistair has expertise in design and copyright law
and is interested in brand exploitation. Tim Mount
'Tim did a law conversion course after graduating in English and Italian.
He has started and successfully run several businesses and continues his
training as an IP specialist Solicitor. Tim speaks fluent Italian.
Peter Oliver
Peter has more than 40 years experience in industry and private practice
and established Hewlett Packard's UK IP department in 1979. He has
recently consulted for a number of companies in the aerospace sector.
Peter has expertise in IP valuation and now runs a series of advanced IP
training courses. Neville Walker
Neville worked at GEC-Marconi IP in 1987; moved to private practice in
1989, then to BTG where he managed the MRI IP portfolio, working in
electronics and telecoms. In 1997 he handled licensing and IP due
diligence during the floatation of Scipher. After a short period at
Motorola, he started ipconsult in 2001 and now focuses on ‘SME’
businesses, assisting them to protect and optimise their IP. |
